Buying Guide

How to Choose a Body Kit

A body kit changes the whole stance of a car, so buyers usually compare three things before ordering: which pieces the kit includes, the material and finish, and how closely it fits the target vehicle.

1. Full Kit or Single Pieces

Full body kit: a matched front lip, side skirts and rear diffuser, often with a spoiler, styled as one set. Many automotive body kits in this range are built for one model, such as the BYD Seal or Dolphin.

Single aero parts: a front lip splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts or bumper canards sold on their own, so retailers can stock entry-level upgrades.

Wide body kit: fender flares that widen the arches. A wide body kit for a specific model can be developed as an OEM/ODM project.

2. Choose the Material and Finish

Most body kits are made from ABS or PP plastic. ABS holds sharp lines for lips and diffusers, while PP flexes on impact and suits lower bumper parts.

Carbon fiber parts, like our Audi A6 C7 rear diffuser, cost more but save weight and look premium.

Typical finishes are gloss black, matte black, carbon pattern and unpainted for color matching.

3. Check Fitment and Mounting

Model-specific kits follow the factory bumper and sill lines, so match the model and year range on each product. Universal lips and canards fit many cars within the listed size.

Most parts mount with screws, clips and automotive double-sided tape. Many are bolt-on, and some, such as our no-drill front lip for the BYD Seal, need no drilling.

Installation

How to Install a Body Kit

Fitting a full kit takes longer than a single part. This overview covers the usual order of work; the instructions supplied with each kit come first.

  1. Lay out and check the kit. Unpack every piece, match it to the parts list and hold it against the car to check the gaps before any drilling.
  2. Prepare all mounting areas. Degrease the bumpers and rocker panels so tape and clips grip properly.
  3. Start at the front. Mount the front lip from the center out so it sits level across the bumper.
  4. Work along the sides to the rear. Align the side skirts to the lip, then fit the rear diffuser so the lines flow from front to back.
  5. Final check. Re-tighten all fasteners after a short drive, and keep the car out of car washes for a day while the tape cures.

Why Yirox

Why Distributors Choose Yirox Body Kits

One Finish Across the Kit

Lips, skirts and diffusers are molded and finished as a set, so the gloss or carbon pattern matches on every piece.

Kits Built Around Real Cars

Each kit is test fitted on the listed model to check gaps at the bumper, sills and wheel arches.

Own Molding Capacity

Most kit parts come off our own injection molding lines, supported by vetted partners for special materials.

Kits Under Your Brand

Private-label kit boxes, inserts and logos for distributors. Low MOQ on selected items.

Wholesale and OEM

Body Kit Wholesale and OEM Programs

Body kit programs are where our own tooling matters most. Yirox has been in auto parts for 10+ years since 2010, and our approximately 20,000 m² injection molding factory, with around 180 staff, molds the lips, skirts and diffusers that make up each kit. Vetted partner factories cover materials outside our own production. Our quality system is certified to IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, and kits ship to buyers in 40+ countries.

Kit Development

New body kits from your drawings, a 3D scan or a donor car, with test fitting of every piece before tooling is approved.

Mixed Kit Orders

Combine full kits and single lips, skirts or diffusers in one shipment to cover entry and premium price points.

Set Packing

Each kit is packed as a labeled set, so lips, skirts and diffusers arrive together and in matching finishes.

MOQ and Lead Time

Low MOQ on selected items. Kit lead time depends on the number of pieces, the finish and tooling, and is confirmed with each quote.

FAQ

Body Kit FAQ

What is included in a body kit?

A typical body kit includes a front lip, a pair of side skirts and a rear diffuser. Some kits also add a spoiler or bumper trims. Each product page lists the pieces in the set.

Do body kits improve performance?

On most road cars a body kit is mainly a styling upgrade. Lips and diffusers can tidy airflow at speed, but buyers mostly choose a kit for the look.

What is the difference between a body kit and a wide body kit?

A standard body kit adds lips, skirts and a diffuser to the original body width. A wide body kit adds fender flares that make the car wider, and usually needs cutting and painting.

Do you supply a Tesla body kit?

Yes. We supply front lip kits and canard trims for the Tesla Model 3, Model Y and Model X. They are listed under Front Bumpers and Rear Bumpers.

Can I buy single parts instead of a full kit?

Yes. Most kits in this range are also sold as single parts, such as a front bumper lip, side skirts or a rear diffuser.

ABS, PP or carbon fiber: which material is best?

ABS keeps sharp lines and is easy to paint. PP is more flexible and resists impact. Carbon fiber is lighter and looks premium but costs more. Carbon pattern is a printed finish on plastic, not real carbon fiber.

Will the body kit need drilling?

It depends on the part. Many pieces use existing mounting points, clips and tape, while some need a few holes. Each product page lists the install method.

Can you make a custom body kit for my model?

Yes. We support OEM and ODM projects. Send us drawings, a 3D scan or a sample, and we will review tooling and finish options.

Is there a minimum order for body kits?

Low MOQ on selected items. Full kits and single pieces can be mixed, and we confirm the MOQ per model with your quote.

Can body kits be shipped overseas safely?

Yes. Kits ship to buyers in 40+ countries in reinforced cartons, with each piece wrapped and labeled.
