1/2 oz x 6 steel adhesive weights for everyday SUV and car work
These lead-free steel (Fe) stick-on strips are for the inner barrel of alloy rims on passenger cars, SUVs, pickups and light trucks in ounce-based markets. Each strip carries six 1/2 oz segments, 3 oz in total, marked in ounces to match oz-reading balancers. When most corrections in a bay fall between 1 and 3 oz, technicians handle half as many pieces as with 1/4 oz steps, and the finished weight sits more neatly.
Every version is zinc plated for corrosion resistance. The range covers zinc, grey and black finishes with rounded corners, a grey version with a smaller 4 mm corner radius, and a rectangular black version for buyers who prefer square-cornered segments on dark rims.
Why move up to 1/2 oz segments?
- Faster jobs: larger steps mean fewer segments per wheel.
- Ounce markings match oz-reading balancers.
- Shape choice: rounded corners or rectangular black.
If you need finer steps, see the 1/4 oz x 12 rounded strip. Our rectangular zinc 1/2 oz and grey 1/2 oz strips are also available.

1/4 oz, 1/2 oz or 1 oz: which should you stock?
Use 1/4 oz strips for fine balancing, 1/2 oz for everyday SUV and car work, and the 1 oz x 6 strip for large corrections; many distributors in ounce markets carry all three. In gram-based markets, metric strips such as the 5g+10g x 4 are a better fit. Steel rims are normally balanced with clip-on weights.

Questions buyers ask about 1/2 oz strips
What is the difference between 015C and 016C?
Both are grey coated rounded strips. The 016C has a smaller 4 mm corner radius, giving a slightly squarer outline.
Is there lead in these weights?
No. They are zinc plated steel (Fe).
How do I stop larger segments coming off?
Clean and dry the marked spot thoroughly, fit at room temperature, and press firmly along the whole strip after peeling the liner.
Which tape should I choose?
Blue for everyday use, wide-edge blue for faster peeling, and 3M or Norton when a named tape is required.
