Extra-thick clip-on weights for heavy truck and bus wheels
These lead (Pb) clip-on weights with a steel clip are for truck and bus steel wheels that need several hundred grams of correction, in markets where lead is permitted. In a conventional shape, a clip-on of that mass becomes very long and may not fit between the rim flange and the tyre; the extra-thick design packs the mass into a shorter, deeper body. For scale, the 250g weight is 105 mm long, 18.5 mm wide and 13.4 mm thick.
The range runs from 50g to 400g in eight sizes (50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400g), so a big correction goes on in a single piece. The weight value is cast into the body for quick identification, and the steel clip is designed to seat on the rim flange. Standard or extra-thick: how to decide
Choose extra-thick where the space between flange and tyre is limited or the correction is large. For lighter vehicles, a standard weight such as the lead clip-on for steel rims is usually enough; standard truck options include the lead clip-on 50g and the lead clip-on 100g.
